Sawing not difficult, machining gives a smooth surface. Woos takes good and lasting polish after filling. Nail and screw holding capacity excellent. Kiln seasoning is generally recommended for fresh cut logs.Heartwood golden brown or reddish-brown in colour on exposure to sunlight.
